About Us
We are small show kennel in central Scotland,
breeding quality boxers for show and family pet, all of our boxers are heart
tested as recommended by the boxer breed council.
My love for boxers began when I
was very young, my Aunt had two as pets and my cousins and myself had many an
hour playing rough and tumble
with them in the garden. Our own family already had a dog Max a border collie,
so a boxer was out of the question. I grew up with the our family dog Max a
border collie and my pony Ling, a 13.2 show pony, which I won many competitions
with.
My teenage years were spent competing many different ponies for other
people including my own 2 ponies a 14.2 grey gelding who had a super jump
and 14.2 bay gelding who I jumped at The Horse of the Year show held at Wembley
Arena
1988 Horse of the Year show - Wembley Arena
I then went on to work at an eventing / teacher training yard
where
I became a
qualified teacher passing my exams right up to BHS II,
but first love was showjumping and i was lucky enough to move south and
work with international showjumpers.
Where I part owned a very special German bred gelding whom we
sold on to a French yard and he went on to represent France in
the Olympics
a few years later.
Unfortunately due to injury I left the horses, I still very much wanted to have animals around me and
compete, so after much thought I bought my first boxer in 1993, he was just a pet,
with a lovely natured, he was of Santanoaks
breeding, I took him along to some training classes
and some exemption shows and although mis-marked did very well; so six months
later came my first show dog bred by Don & Marilyn Humphries.
He was sired by CH. Sulez Whatever you Say ex Namphac Saucy Sal of Santanoaks
a
half brother to my first dog. Also that year my first affix Wesjanson was
granted.
Then in 1994 saw the arrival of my first show bitch ‘Katie’ Zoeash
Annies Song at Wesjanson she was also sired by CH. Sulez Whatever you Say
out of a Gladiator daughter. I only showed
Katie as a youngster, picking up many Best Puppy Awards & Best Of Breeds
at open Shows. Her first litter, which was also my first was in 1996 to
CH. Tyegarth Pacherenc at
Seacrest which produced my ever loving escape artist 'Tiggie' Wesjanson
That's Ma Boy. Tiggie sparkled in the
show ring as a puppy, winning many a
classes. Katie's second litter was to CH & Ir CH Blueprint
Beern Skittles at Walkon, but unfortunately due to a birthing problem I lost the
whole litter.
In 1997 Adrian and myself got married and then
due to one thing or another, I didn't manage to get out and about much in 1998, but I decided a year was
way long enough, and it was lovely to catch up with old friends. I then
mated Katie for her last litter to Burmadon Supa Trooper
(Dutch/Santonoaks
bred dog) this produced our red girl 'Pippa' Beeann Penelopie Pit Stop who
is behind our current Beeann children to date.
Also
that year saw the granting of my new affix Beeann.
2000 and a new Millennium dawned. I was on the lookout to buy in a show boy, Adrian and I travelled to
Liverpool to view a puppy, which needless to say we both liked him and we
brought him home ‘Charlie’ Wildax Midnight Express at Beeann
half brother to CH. Wildax Father Ted. Charlie was a
lovely easy dog to show and I had a lot fun with him having been placed at 80% of his
champ show outing; we sadly lost him to cancer aged 6.

Brownhill Cottage
July 2001 saw Beeann moving to Central Scotland, where
Adrian and myself now run boarding kennels, which is huge change from sunny
Norfolk!!
In the November of that year
‘Pippa’
Beeann Penelope Pit Stop
had
her first litter to CH & Ir Ch Blueprint Beern Skittles at Walkon and to
strengthen our bitch line we kept a lovely made bitch ‘Jazz’ Beeann Raising
Arizona. Whom in turn had her first litter August 2004
to ‘Joe’ Glenauld Special Game at Beeann a dog we had bought in from the
Glenauld kennel in 2002; this litter produced our lovely made bitch
‘Samantha’
Beeann Bewitched, who gained her stud book number
in June 2006 which qualifies her for Crufts for life. 'Sam' was our second
stud book entry as her father won a Reserve CC, thus giving him his.
To further strengthen our bitch line we bought in 'Kylie' Glenauld Game of Logic at Beeann,
her breeding was very strongly Walkon so naturally we line-bred her to Ch. Roamaro Fun In The Sun with Walkon
and puppies arrived June 2005. We kept her beautiful daughter 'Alison' Beeann Take That who has gone on to do us proud in the show ring,
now retired to the nursery.
Also in 2005 their
was a new arrival to the ranks of Beeann,
Norwatch Sunhawk Magic Spel at Beeann 'Jack' was bought in from Helen & Eddie Banks and has been a real asset to
our kennel, not only in the show ring where as a puppy he was a running
qualifier (upto Oct 06) for the prestigious Mancunian Pup of the Year, going
on to win many of his baby/yearling classes. In December 06 we were thrilled
to have the front cover of the coveted boxer magazine the Boxer Quarterly,
many thanks to Tim and Julie for taking the time out to photograph Jack and
not forgetting the rest of BQ team who helped put the front cover together.
2007 was quiet year for us only
attending half the shows,
Jack
still delighted us by winning at Manchester, Northern BC and Working Breeds of
Wales. He was 3rd in his class at Crufts. However, in the Autumn he went to live
at Winuwuk for 2 months and Julie schooled him beautifully and we were thrilled
that his first show back in the ring he won 1st Post graduate and then went on
to be shortlisted for the CC at London & Home Counties BC.
Alison was not to
disappoint either that year gaining 4th in huge yearling class at Crufts, and rarely out
of the cards. In the autumn of '07 seen the first litters of both
Beeann Bewitched and Beeann Take That
and both
litters were adorable.
2008 we
went everywhere, well almost! Jack was outstanding wining his way into Limit and
then wining some very tough Limit classes too, he was also considered for the CC
on several occasions, he won with Julie, Tim and myself handling him, maturing
nicely watch this space!! Also in 2008 saw the arrival of our
new princess 'Sophie' Winuwuk Truly Madly Deeply at Beeann, from Julie, Tim and
Marion 'Team Winuwuk' who we are immensely pleased with, she will be a fabulous
asset to the future of Beeann.
2009 has started off with a bang,
with Jack winning an enormous class at Crufts and being shortlisted for the CC.
We also have a new boy in the ranks, 'Blake' Winuwuk An Absolute Scandal at
Beeann who is owned in partnership with his breeders
Marion Ward-Davies, Julie Brown & Tim Hutchings (Winuwuk Boxers) he has settled
in fantastically and has already been winning some really lovely classes, he was
also Graded Excellent at European Winners Show Dublin in May. we're now looking
forward to the summer months.
Since 2012 we
have had a few arrivals and some good success in the show ring, to follow our
news and development check out our news page.
I am currently on
the B list for Boxer Judging and looking forward to my first breed club
appointment.
